Businesses in Washington, DC and surrounding areas can now request the help of local high school students through the P.A.C.S. Job Readiness & Internship Training Program.
P.A.C.S., in conjunction with the Office of Youth Programs, in Washington, DC administers the G.R.O.W.T.H. Program, that offers paid Job Readiness Training and paid Internships to youth ages 18 – 22. The G.R.O.W.T.H. Program introduces youth to the workforce and provides paid opportunities to explore potential career paths, while also developing transferable skills.
The G.R.O.W.T.H. Program has admitted hundreds of Washington, DC youth into its program and is now seeking internship placements with additional Washington, DC and surrounding areas businesses.
Our job readiness training covers resume building, networking, interview skills, job etiquette, and even financial literacy and personal budget planning. As a result, businesses hiring interns can rest assured that their new hires have a foundation in workplace knowledge prior to entering their doors on the first day of work.
Businesses may obtain support from interns for either remote or on-site support, and can expect up to 120 total hours of support at no cost to the employer. Thanks to local support from the Office of Youth Programs who provides funding for the cost of interns’ wages, making this experience affordable and convenient for small businesses.
